Kebaya is traditional dress from Indonesia. In many parts of Indonesia, kebaya was see as a strong nationalistic symbol and has been strongly supported as a symbol of identity for Indonesian women by prominent figures throughout the nation’s history.

Kebaya usually wear when we attend or held some event like wedding, akikah, or another event. Kebaya wear when there is a cultural event held too. Recently, kebaya has become recognized internationally as it is used as the uniform for flight attendance on some International Aviation like Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.

Kebaya known as traditional dress, in this era, people always pretend that something traditional is oldfashion, but not with this kebaya. Many of kebaya have an Exclusive and modern design that can wear wherever we go. Kebaya also compatible for People who like designing, they can design his own model and size of the dress and give it to the tailor to made. Kebaya also became the symbol of nationalistic for the people who wear it.

However , kebaya also have an negative sides. When people wear kebaya, people can move freely because almost all kebaya’s size and model are fitting to the body. Some of kebaya is not comfortable when people wear it like its feels hot, it because kebaya made from different cloth. Comfortable kebaya is made from expensive cloth so if we want to have a comfortable kebaya that not feels hot, we should buy kebaya that made from more expensive cloth. Size of kebaya is not certain so it may make some people difficult to search exact size.

Unfortunately, even kebaya have Exclusive and modern design, just a few young women that want to wear kebaya, they all have same reason, the reason is kebaya is oldfashion. young woman prefer to use a modern dress than kebaya.

We hope , parents should introduce kebaya to her daughter to use Kebaya, and for all creator of Kebaya to make a fashionable and creative design so young and old women want to use it. And for Minister of Education and Cultural, to introduce , publish , and suggest young women to use Kebaya.
